Workpoint Offers .NET in Its Latest Release, 3.4

Customers Put Code To The Test

(OMAHA, Neb. – September 26, 2005) With the latest release of Workpoint, the native Microsoft® version was migrated from the existing COM+ architecture to a completely .NET-managed version. The existing Java engine and the .NET release run natively, leveraging the strength of their respective architectures.

The 3.4 release of Workpoint provides several customer-requested enhancements, including function level security and a script execution order. Workpoint's new granular security adds the optional ability to authorize specific operations based upon a given user, while the script enhancement will allow users to specify, at design time, the order in which the scripts are executed. Release 3.4 also offers a link to Proforma Corporation's Common Interchange Format (CIF) to integrate business process management with business process analysis.

A global leader in software and processing solutions has already put the new release to the test. Among the numerous enhancements, the organization cites Workpoint's ability to search and select within its rule library as one of its most powerful improvements. This feature offers a simple means to search for all processes and jobs that contain a specific rule and identify rules that contain specific text.

"Workpoint 3.4 provides enhancements and features our customers were seeking," said Ruth Nimrod, Chief Technology Officer, Workpoint LLC. "With Workpoint 3.4 we have made it even easier for our customers to model and implement their business processes."
