Workpoint 3.4.2 December 2010 Release is now available

The latest release of our BPM product, Workpoint has been unveiled. This is a cumulative patch release that includes all reported customer issues and new features.

“In this release, we are delivering on both customer requests and industry demands,” said Ruth Nimrod, Workpoint. “Enhancements to Workpoint’s Graphical User Interface for Modeling and Managing Process objects provide our customers the ability to quickly construct Composite processes. Our customers now have the ability to gain a competitive edge by easily creating new BPM-enabled offerings with Workpoint.”

Here is a sneak-peek of the new features:

Workpoint’s Designer is the most visible component of Workpoint. The Designer is used to graphically model and define business process models, including all the activities and artifacts within them (tasks, orchestration routing, rules, etc.). This release provides users with an updated version of the user interface. Other enhancements include a new type or Meta Data storage, Workpoint now support Arrays of User Data.

Performance improvements have been made with this release by introducing a new object, 'OrchestrationMan' which offers more control during orchestration by allowing you to set the status of the next step(s) of the business process. The net effect is an increase of performance of the process instance node activation by eliminating multiple requests to the Workpoint. Additional features for Workpoint system administrators and performance improvements are included. Orchestration Manager enables the task to be manipulated during execution to drive any orchestration requirements needed without additional latency. As always, Workpoint continues to keep current with the JAVA and .NET technology updates and this release introduces support for JAVA 6 and .NET 4.0.
