Workpoint 3.3.2 Released

March not only brings the start of spring, but also a new release of our BPM solution, Workpoint. There are many new features in the March Workpoint 3.3.2 release. Here is a sneak-peek:

Designer - New look and feel

The Designer is the first visible component of Workpoint. It is used to graphically model and define processes and jobs, including all the steps within them (nodes, transitions, scripts, etc.). Additions here include dockable windows that will allow the user to adjust the size and locations of support windows without losing focus from the work area. The work area contains tabs to easily switch between all the open jobs and processes. There are several different styles available, which can be easily switched by the user.

A Task Bar frame contains collapsible panes with frequently used Designer operations and actions. The content of the Task Bar changes dynamically depending on what is selected in the process or job. The Toolbox frame offers tools used for building a job or process, including the user-defined node templates. System Console displays any messages written by the Designer to allow the user instant access without having to open a log file. This console is set up as a user preference and can be disabled if required.

There are many other new Designer features, some of which allow users to:

  • Cut/copy/paste selections into a different job or process window
  • Undo the last operation (or multiple operations)
  • Show search results that were queried based upon optional filter parameters
