Planet Group Expands Senior Team and Appoints Thomas Nichting CEO

Planet Group today announced that Thomas Nichting has joined the company as CEO.

In his new role, Mr. Nichting will work directly with the firm’s leadership team, contributing in the areas of product growth strategy and customer advocacy. Nichting will be responsible for the three of company’s divisions including Acquire360, Core360 and Workpoint. As a proven leader of quality driven businesses with successful growth in the technology and business solutions companies, Mr. Nichting is the right choice to provide executive leadership to these product units to take them to the next level.

Mr. Nichting brings extensive experience to the company and was formerly with CSG Systems in charge of its Financial Services vertical. Prior to that, Tom ran Prairie Interactive Messaging. He oversaw all aspects of Prairie's business operations, focused on delivering unified, interactive messaging solutions that manage customer interactions through inbound and outbound automated messaging services. Tom also brings extensive experience to Planet, having previously worked many years at First Data Corporation as President of First Data's Utility Services Division, Output/Plasticard Division, First Data Solutions, Teleservices, and Call Interactive business units.

Mr. Nichting holds a bachelor's degree from Creighton University and a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska. He currently serves on the boards of several organizations and corporations.
